Product Characteristics: MCT-1 is a novel gene that was identified from T-cell leukemia/lymphoma cell lines with limited homology to a region of Cyclin H. MCT-1 is a novel candidate oncogene that results in a shortened G1 phase and increased rate of proliferation.
Target Information: The protein encoded by this gene is a proton-linked monocarboxylate transporter that catalyzes the movement of many monocarboxylates, such as lactate and pyruvate, across the plasma membrane.
